Books Read Update

September 14, 2008

Books read recently:

  1. Rant, Chuk Palahniuk (* * * *)
I was a bit surprised to find out that it’s a science fiction.
  2. Slaughterhouse Five, Kurt Vonnegut (* * * * *)
  3. Ubik, Phillip K. Dick (* * * *)
  4. Old Man’s War, John Scalzi (* * * * *)
I finished this novel in only three days, John Scalzi is amazing. This book is a true page-turner. Highly recommended for space opera fans. I’m really looking forward to reading the sequel, The Ghost Brigades.
  5. Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury (* * *1/2)
  6. A Scanner Darkly, Phillip K. Dick (* * * *)
  7. Against The Fall of Night, Arthur C Clarke (* * * *)
This book reminds me a lot of George R. R. Martin’s Dying of The Light.
  8. Passenger To Frankfurt (Indonesian ver), Agatha Christie (* *)
Definitely not one of her finest novels. The only interesting part is the first chapter, and it goes downhill from there.

Next in line:

  1. Martian Time-Slip, Philip K. Dick
